 Speed Reading is an exercise practiced by the individual to master reading. The result of the exercise is determined by the number of words a person can read per minute, and the benefit of fast reading in saving time.
If you train and develop your ability to absorb ideas and information quickly, you will reap the benefits of it beautifully.

  Along with the tremendous development in the volume of information and news received simultaneously with the contemporary technological revolution, we must remain fully aware of and follow the changes of our competitive era. Reading quickly provides us with the time to see every new variable in our world.



The most important benefits of fast reading 

If you train, you will be able to raise your mental performance. This type of reading is a challenge to our minds to perform its functions very efficiently. When training to collect information quickly, certain areas of the brain will improve. Its practical performance.
Reading fast gives you the ability to focus high, as the majority of people who read fast access to read 600 words/minute, the normal reading speed is 200 words/minute.

Anyone can have the ability to read quickly as it's only usually acquired by training. To do this you have to leave previous bad habits related to your reading style and follow some of the following tips and advices:

You have to pay attention to the content of the text you read, and don't distract yourself from anything else. Some will read as if they're watching television.

Here are some ways you can focus on to develop the skills of your reading speed to reduce your reading time. Most people call it "Quick Review" where text content is comprehensively identified Before reading the detailed, here are some of the quick review or different things:

Browse the book and read the first and last paragraph. Look at the pictures, drawings and tables if found.

Then close the book and ask yourself the following questions:

What is the main idea of the book?

What is the quality of this book?

What is the writer's goal of writing this?

In the beginning you will think that you are unable to answer these three questions. If you were to review the contents properly, you would have general knowledge of the book. Fast reading will help you to establish and remember ideas more than normal and slow reading.


There are methods you should follow to be able to master and develop reading skills quickly, and you can master it during several weeks of training, which is the most important that can lead to the development of your reading skills:

1- The first week of training in this week, keep the book you want to read tilted at an angle of 30 degree, because reading when book on the tabletop lead to eye fatigue and cause pain in the retina.

2 - In the second week, you have to move your head from the left to the right if you read in foreign language and the movement of the head is in a simple manner which helps to focus the image on the retina, which scientifically called (Vestibulo Ocular Reflex).

3 - In the third week, use the pen or finger to move your eyes along the text which help you raising your reading speed. The eye can follow six words on each side of the cursor at the same time.

4 - In the forth week, you have to convince yourself that you have the ability to achieve your goal by reading fast, and use the words of motivation for yourself to make you reach the desired goal.

5 - The fifth week is devoted to the training of the eye to prepare for reading and before starting at least sixty seconds, and this is called a warm-up exercise for the eye so as not to become tired, here are some of these exercises:

The writing exercise of the eye

This exercise increases the flexibility of eyes' muscles and increases the range of movement, as follows:
Imagine holding a brush in your eye and writing your name on the farthest wall of your room. 

The partial closure of the eye

The partial closure of the eye with the stop movement of the eyelids. This leads the eye muscles to relax, and during the partial closure of the eye focus on something.You'll find that the eyes are no longer vibrate during reading after repeating this exercise many times.
